Thought of the Day
I just saw this question on a sign a loved it!!! "Where will I spend my happy days?!"
Which of course should be everyday. Better, "Where and how will I spend my days being happy surrounded by love and beauty and happiness!!!"
Cool Fact
The Birkenhead Drill, otherwise known as "women and children first", started in Cape Town when a ship sunk.

Best Bakery & Sandwich in Cape Town
Charming. Delightful. Delicious. After six months of hotel living in Cape Town and eating at restaurants for virtually every meal since then (not I'm not kidding -- I haven't cooked one thing since July) -- I have crowned Saucisse Boutique Deli the most amazing desserts but more important, best sandwich in town! I do have a second favorite coming up next. This quaint little bakery is located in The Old Biscuit Mill in the Woodstock section of Cape Town. And while the Biscuit Mill is loaded with food vendors not the weekend, this little bakery/deli is open all week and located in a darling storefront. It is run by a father-daughter that are always so pleased to welcome everyone in. It is a real delight and delicious! They have food quotes painted on the walls. Every day they feature different sandwiches for lunch. My fav is a self-creation -- roast chicken right off the bone, avocado, tomato, cucumber, cheese, lettuce, onion, and a sprinkle of sea salt and olive oil. Yumm-yumm! They also have a variety of cute cutting boards, kitchen supplies, and gourmet foods, cheeses, and meats!
I wanted to take the heart shaped cutting board home but it was too heavy! |
